Prayer has definitely been a top priority as I prepare for New Attitude. There are so many ways I can become distracted and I have been asking God for help to focus on Him and have my heart ready to receive what He wants me to learn. Thanks for your prayers for everyone attending, Lynette! What a sweet sister in Christ you are. I hope I can meet you at Na someday!
Kierstyn on Wed May 21, 2008 at 4:07 pmLynette, thanks for praying for us! That is so kind of you! I am very grateful, I’ll take all the prayers I can get.
I am very excited to see what God does this year. My prayer is that I will enjoy Him more than I ever have at NA and that I would receive from Him whatever He desires to teach me! Can’t wait!!!
I’m with Kierstyn in asking God for his help to focus on Him and for the Holy Spirit to soften my heart to receive all that God will teach me. I know my tendency is to focus on myself, my needs, my wants- so I’m also asking God to give me a heart to serve others, and to look out for their needs ahead of my own.
Thanks so much, Eric, for providing us with a list of things to pray for!
Yes, thank you Lynette! Would you all pray for my four younger siblings who will be attending NA with me? Only one is walking with the Lord right now, and I am desperate for the Holy Spirit’s help to be sensitive to how to best care for them. I also want to be able to put their needs ahead of my own. Last year, God taught me so much about asking Him to work and then waiting with expectancy for Him to answer. I want to grow in faith and do that again, and I would encourage each of you to bring that expectancy into your prayers as well. He delights to answer prayers that are in line with His will!
