Post-Conference Content To Serve You
May 28 2008Here at New Attitude we care about the four days of the conference. A lot. We work all year on them.
But we also really care about what happens when you get home from the conference. That’s why we’ve put together the following content and resources to help you apply what you’ve learned and take the conference back home.
Vote On Questions About the Bible (and Get Answers)
Al Mohler answered a lot of questions during the conference but of course couldn’t answer everyone else’s. Well we want to help you get a helpful answer from Justin Taylor, Thabiti Anyabwile, or Eric Simmons.
Here’s how this will work: Submit your question about the Bible to ricky [at] newattitude.org and then about a week later you’ll be to vote for the question you most want answered. Justin, Thabiti, and Eric will answer the top five. (And we don’t want these limited to just technical questions about scripture. Ask how to read Leviticus or how to use scripture when you’re counseling a friend or how to memorize scripture and get a helpful answer.)
Here’s what else we’re planning:
_Speaker Interviews On Personal Bible Reading: We sat down with a few of the conference speakers—including Mark Dever and Al Mohler—and asked them how they read their Bible and what they would encourage others to do in their Bible reading. [Look for us to start posting these next Monday.]
_Message Transcripts: We’re planning on getting you transcripts of some (if not all) the messages from this year.
_Application 101 & Hermeneutics 101: We’re working on two short and sweet one page .pdfs for you to download and stick in your Bible. One helps you start applying what you’ve learned and come up with a plan for reading your Bible better. The other is a brief intro to Hermeneutics (the art of how to read and interpret your Bible) that’s great for keeping close when you read. [These should be up anytime now.]
_Don’t Waste Your Conference (After the Conference) Interviews: At the conference we interviewed singles pastors Isaac Hydoski, Joseph Stigora, and Jon Smith about how to not get overwhelmed applying things after the conference. We also talked to them about how to read the Bible in different situations (new believer, seeking to read the Old Testament).
_Mohler Q&A Videos: Every question from the Al Mohler Q&A will become a short video on our site.
_Blogging the Bible: Some of our regular pastor-writers will each tackle a genre of the Bible (prophetic, narrative, epistle) and show you how to get the most out of reading that genre of literature. [Expect these in a few weeks.]
_Other Stuff: C’mon, we’ve gotta surprise you with at least a few things.
If you came to the conference, we hope these help you take what you’re learning back home. If you’re a pastor or small group leader, we hope these serve you as you as you lead your people. If you didn’t make it to the conference, we hope you’ll still listen to the message and apply God’s Word along with us.
Forget Reinvention. Embrace a humble orthodoxy.

All of the resources you have provided are a tremendous boost. I am amazed by all that you do and I praise God for His mighty work in you to enable you to do all of this! THANK YOU. God met me at the conference and I am forever changed. He has revealed a little more of the mystery and I cannot be grateful enough. I praise Him!
Mary Markley on Tue Jun 3, 2008 at 8:56 amRicky,
Thanks for posting a great abundance of material regarding how we can apply what we learned at the conference. It is evident that the folks at New Attitude really truly care for our pursuit of God’s Word and Humble Orthodoxy.
I have one request. Could you provide us with a list of all the books that were sold at New Attitude. The website you provided, http://www.crossway.org/NA08, only provides a limited selection of the books. I am very interested in purchasing many of these books as I feel that they will be used as a means of grace in helping me grow more into the Image of Christ. The main means of grace will always be The Bible.
Jason F. Gomes on Tue Jun 3, 2008 at 2:01 pmThanks to everyone who organized this conference and served in it, you’re all such a blessing and I was amazed at how the Lord used it in my heart and mind to open my eyes more to Christ and Gods amazing truths
! I also want to thank the men who preached and to so many people who were amazing examples of Christs love and what a life that is transformed by the power of Christ and Him crucified and His love looks like. :D
Hi,
I’m sure the conference has been over for some time, but I want to thank you guys for making these resources available on the web. I came across the audio sermons last week and started listenng to the first one by Pastot Joshua harris on “Ripping, Burning, eating”. I was so so blessed & encouraged to press on in the pursuit of Jesus Christ and digging deep into His Word and have been following the rest conference material.
Thank you for bring NA conference to me and to the christian community out there. =)
From Singapore, my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to you guys

Message Transcripts, sweet!!! I was really affected by a couple of Mr. Mahaney’s quotes but couldn’t write them down and listen to the Holy Spirit at the same time!!!
A very pititful thank you to the speakers, worship team, tech team, and admin team. There’s no way to thank ya’ll for all ya’ll did. I am SO GRATEFUL!!!! The Lord really met me at the conference. If ya’ll wouldn’t have served, my walk with Him would not have been encouraged and grown even better! So, THANK YOU. Ya’ll are amazing, humble examples, small examples of our Savior. I pray you get some sleep and enjoy His pleasure this week.
