Ten years ago New Attitude began. This year we're looking back at God's kindness and forward to what's next. We're featuring stories here of how God has worked through the New Attitude conference to bring truth, conviction, change, and hope to attendees. Read and give glory to God.

I sat down and wrote the words “Hallelujah, all I have is Christ. Hallelujah, Jesus is my life” in my journal, because that is what I wanted. - Janelle McCombie. Na 08.

I get so much out of each message that is spoken at New Attitude, and each one of them has been a blessing to my walk with God, but there is another thing that God never fails to use in my life at New Attitude. God uses the songs we sing in a great way. A couple years ago I realized my temptation to sing the songs that we sing at church or New Attitude with no emotion and no thought, or I may have even included the emotion, but had no thought of what I was singing. But then God showed me what a blessing it is to me and what glory it brings to Him when I think about and mean what I am singing. The songs that we sing at New Attitude are like mini messages that speak such truth into my life. I have been so amazed by what God reveals of Himself through each song. There have been times that I felt God speaking directly into my life while I was worshiping Him at New Attitude. I know that God can encounter us in worship wherever we are, but I have had some amazing times of fellowship worshiping at my Savior’s feet with a room packed full of believers at New Attitude. One song in particular that God spoke to me through at New Attitude was “All I Have is Christ.” It begins by talking about our pride in thinking that we know what is best for ourselves and that we can find fullness of joy in our sin, but then it goes on to say that God loved me extended His grace and “led me to the cross.” As we were singing this song, I remember being so moved. I sat down and wrote the words “Hallelujah, all I have is Christ. Hallelujah, Jesus is my life” in my journal, because that is what I wanted… I wanted to sing to the Lord that HE is my life. This song made me want to live my life passionately for the Lord, and God has been so faithful to continue teaching me of how to live best for His glory.
