New Attitude has a new name, new lineup of speakers, and a new location. A lot is changing for 2009.

Julia Borghi. Na 07.

At New Attitude 2007, C.J. Mahaney preached on idolatry.  I’ve grown up in church and heard great teaching on that topic before, so I was somehow under the impression that I’d already conquered that sin. God graciously used C.J.’s message to convict me of an area of idolatry I had never even recognized before: I idolized my relationships with people, including a particular relationship with someone of the opposite gender. I asked God to change my heart, and he has been so faithful to pull my focus towards Christ as the one whom I really love the most. As my relationship with Christ has been restored to primary, I can begin to follow the attitude of Christ in love and humility towards my family, boyfriend, and other dear friends and acquaintances.

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.  In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another… We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:9-11, 19).  I am so thankful.
